Haha, I promise the title of this post does not reflect how I feel. Also, know that this post is not a poe. This is an email I received from World Net Daily today. I’m not going to bother with extensive commentary, but there are a few remarks and extra links at the bottom. (Note: All the “CLICK HERE” links linked to a Minuteman PAC donation page.) For your convenience, the text is quoted below the image captures.

Fellow Patriot,

This is an urgent alert! A fellow patriot, Congressman Joe Wilson, is under severe attack from the left for telling the truth!

Last night, Barack Obama tried once again to sell the American people on his fallacious government health care plan. And he continued the pandering when he claimed, “the reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.”

Rep. Wilson, in a fit of patriot passion, yelled, “You lie!

FINALLY! Some one said what’s on all of our minds!

No more milquetoast passing of the buck like calling lies “misinformation”, “misdirection”, or “confusion of the facts.” We need to call a lie a lie…and that’s just what Joe Wilson did!

Now, Rep. Wilson is under vehement attack from the Left. Turncoat Sen. Specter is calling for Wilson’s censure and now the forces of the left are using the event to raise thousands of dollars in campaign funds for Wilson’s Democrat opponent.

We MUST rally around Joe Wilson and send a message to our patriots in Washington: “Don’t be afraid to tell the truth! Call a spade a spade!”

The future of our country is at stake, yet the politicos in Washington are more worried about perception and decorum than telling the truth to the American people.

Not backing down, Joe Wilson is defending his argument: that ObamaCare WILL cover illegal aliens.

And he should know:

Rep. Wilson is an immigration attorney in South Carolina AND he helped push amendments to the health care bill that would have expressly prevented coverage for illegal aliens …

… but the Democrats in the House killed those amendments.

This begs a question: If illegal aliens aren’t going to be covered by ObamaCare, then what’s the harm in specifically prohibiting it?

We all know the answer to that question: BECAUSE THEY’RE LYING!!!

Pure and simple.

Now, the pro-amnesty, pro-ObamaCare forces of the left are loading all their guns to take out Joe Wilson.

Are we simply going to stand by and watch while a patriot congressman gets destroyed in the media?

NO! We will fight and defend him. We MUST send the message to Washington that the American people will support and defend leaders who don’t back down to pressure from the media and threats from the Obama White House!

We need to move quickly to send a clarion message to the Left…

… help us act now on behalf of Joe Wilson!

Friends, it’s in times like these that our patriotism and belief in our republic are put to the test. Let’s not fail this test. Let’s not fail Joe Wilson. Join us in ensuring his re-election now!

For the Republic,

Brett Farley
Executive Director
Minuteman PAC

P.S. Rep. Joe Wilson called Barack Obama out as a liar in last night’s address to Congress. And now he’s being dragged through mud… simply because he cared more about the truth than about what others think. The Left is doing everything in their power to destroy him, and they’ve already raised thousands for Wilson’s opponent. Help us fight back and defend Joe Wilson.

In case you forgot, missed it, or are just curious, here’s what Wilson said in his “apology”:

This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.

As Rachel Maddow reported last night, he apologized for being rude, but not for being wrong.

This convoluted non-apology is consistent with his ramblings to the press today:

Since last night, Wilson’s 2010 Democratic opponent has raised over $500,000.

Senator Arlen Specter has called for censure.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Wilson used to be a page for Strom Thurmond, and even defended Thurmond from accusations he had an illegitimate daughter with a black woman.

Joe Wilson is also known to have defended the Confederate Flag, claiming, “the Confederate heritage is very honorable” and dismissing any claims of racism or hate as “offensive.”

What a winner. Thanks South Carolina.

In case you’re curious, OneNewsNow (the “news” agency of the American Family Association) seems to be sitting this one out and letting WND and the Minuteman PAC steal the spotlight. The AP story on their page seems unedited and I don’t see anything on the site defending Joe Wilson, not even this blog post.

That’s refreshing, but as we know, the bar is pretty low.

South Carolina has a long list of dignitaries that includes Lauren Caitlin Upton (Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant contestant), Board of Education Chair, Kristin Maguire, Governor (and avid Appalachian hiker), Mark Sanford and now Joe “the hater not a debater” Wilson or the “screamer not the dreamer” as others have dubbed him. I did enjoy him cut and running through his apology, which only goes to show that he stands for nothing. He is just another good old boy where in the morning these married men preach to you that there should be prayer in our schools and in the evening they are on their cell phones setting up a date with their other women on the side, hypocrisy has been bred in. I am not surprised that he felt compel to yell like he was at some Friday night game. So long Joey, you too will be seeing the unemployment lines.

The incident that occurred in Congress by Rep. Joe Wilson R-NC, illustrates the consequences of a blurring line between illegal immigration and health care. Our politicians have been alerted to the angry voices of the American people. For once they have disregarded the business campaign contributors and all the cloaked gifts given for services rendered by special interest lobbyists. Millions of US citizens are enraged with the status quo buying favors from our representatives that has led to our wilting economy. Today speaking on behalf of Washington committees on health care, the lawmaking emphasized that illegal aliens cannot access the new health reform package, that any person applying will be checked through government databases.

E-Verify might be implemented for this very issue, that it has shown in the majority of cases remarkable successes in remove illegal alien workers from the working environment. E-Verify can solve this problem and bring sanity back to immigration enforcement. E-VERIFICATION OF EACH AND EVERY AMERICAN WORKER MUST BE MADE PERMANENT? NOT JUST VOLUNTARY POLICY, BUT AS A FULL FORCE OF OPERATION CARRYING STRICT PENALTIES. This operation will work under federal policies? But what about state laws? California as an example is a Sanctuary state for millions of illegal immigrants and their families? Other border states are also occupied by large proportions of unlawful populations of foreign nationals?

This last year has culminated in huge financial losses in California caused by millions of low income illegal aliens, which has created a third world community within the United States. There must be federal measures to bring under control, massive spending benefits for people who have no right from benefiting from those who come here legally or were born here. How can any public health care option work at a state level, when states like California ignore federal law, regarding financial refuge to indigent people? Our own people remain homeless and in many cases without hope, when legislators have prioritized, health care, education an overloaded jail system and easy welfare money for illegal immigrants?

The once golden state has been using taxpayer money, to support illegal aliens, when the same expenditures should have been adopted for a collapsing infrastructure. Highways, schools, tunnels, bridges and dams in a dangerous state of disrepair? Our legislators in many cases have been seduced by lobbyists and should be banned from any contact with our politicians. This will never happen, but something must be done? Millions have been spent on derailing the health care reform currently and in the past, as has immigration enforcement. Rescinding 287(g) federal training for local police enforcement of immigration laws, the NO MATCH LETTER and the cutting back on ICE raids on obnoxious businesses using foreign workers.

The order to crush E-verify was given to Sen.Harry Reid, Speaker Pelosi, Janet Napolitano, but narrowly survived in the Senate chambers. Both political parties are equally to blame for not enforcing the 1986 Immigration Control & Reform Act that was inundated with fraud and a desire to weaken the laws. Now they want to rescind that law, offering yet another reform package that will never function? Let’s not kid ourselves! Huge veiled forces are at work to import as much cheap labor as possible with no restraints, lowering wages and an unconscionable burden on taxpayers.

Brittancus (aka Mr. Dave Cullen of Los Angeles),

    1. Don’t post propaganda trash on my blog. If you, as an individual, want to have a candid exchange of ideas, that would be great. Copying and pasting nonsense from some extremist PAC doesn’t cut it.

    2. Don’t post crap anonymously. Your name was only too easy to find on Facebook with your email. Be glad I didn’t publish both, you creeper.

    3. Maybe illegal immigrants wouldn’t be such a problem if our country weren’t so ridiculously xenophobic that it made attaining citizenship as long and difficult as it possibly could. We’re a nation of immigrants, and some of us just got uppity. You probably call yourself a patriot, but your fence talk just makes you sound like a paranoid, selfish racist.

    Good day.

Allow me to quote the House version of the bill, H.R. 3200:

“Nothing in this title shall allow federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.”

    So, to recap:

-Joe Wilson is a lying hypocrite.

  • Paul says:

Some call Joe Wilson a great statesman, and are even proud of his “Shout Out”, so lets see, he says, he was told by the Republican leadership to apologize (he did not realize the magnitude of his mistake), he then gives his weak “not for reals” apology, but then goes on to those “Commentator Talk Shows” and basically says he real was not wrong and plays the victim card and calls for people to send in for money to support him for re-election. Had he kept quiet after his apology, that might have been the end of it but now that people know he lied about the apology the story will continue, until he is out of a job and the funny thing is, he does not see it coming. This summer has been rough for his beleaguered political party. At least he did not end up on the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC). In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away the rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. The birthers, the tea baggers, the screamers, and the deathers continued extreme minority presence will become tiresome to mainstream America, if it has not already done so.

  • Jay says:

Will someone please explain if Joe Wilson was an immigration attorney as he claimed, where are the specifics to support that claim. The left obviously got remarks from supposed immigration attorneys from South Carolina stating no knowledge of such. I have yet to see any names on their behalf to commit themselves to such claims….but as well nothing specific from Joe Wilson’s claim to back it up either. It’s a regular he said/they said and we only know of only one identified person in particular who made his claim, but no proof. Meanwhile, everyone else is still conveniently in anonymity, and yet his/her/their claim goes like wildfire. What gives?
