Name: Rebecca Geller (Pictured above on the right with members of her family)
Hometown: Fairfax, VA
Why I Found Her at The NEM:
Rebecca spoke with concision as only a lawyer could. Her reasons for being at the March were simple: her cousin and her best friend are gay, and if she wants to live up to her identity as an ally, she had to be there. “It’s important to support equality,” she told me, and that is all there is to it.
At the March, Rebecca joined several friends and family members in marching for equality. This is undoubtedly a family that looks after its own.
What She’d Change in America:
Rebecca has serious concerns about poverty and homelessness. She said “it’s a crime we let people sleep on the streets.”
