Today, the Advocate highlighted a new Funny or Die video lampooning the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy with a puppet video about a similar military policy, “No Strings Attached.” The best part of the video, in my opinion, is the scrolling text at the bottom. I have excerpted it below so it won’t distract you while you watch. Enjoy:
President Obama stated, “While I have problems with puppets on religious grounds, I made a commitment to be an advocate for them in this White House, and I fully intend to stick to my word…when I get around to it.”
Defense Secretary Gates has announced a more humane interpretation of No Strings, stating, “only high ranking officers can stick their hands up a soldier to prove he’s a puppet.”
Former Congressman Massa (D) has become an advocate for Puppet Rights after a private meeting with Lt. Tickle Me Elmo.
Former VP candidate Sarah Palin said, “Whatever you want to do in the privacy of your home is fine by me, but I will not have you teaching my children about counting, sharing, or anything else in your puppet agenda.”
